Ray/Anderson Wedding

This is a four tiered white cake with raspberry cream filling covered in fondant with butter cream accents.
I was nervous about this cake ever since the consultation because I was worried that the design and colors would make it look too juvenile or girly for the style of wedding that the bride described. I did what the bride asked and was surprised to see that it didn't stand out from the rest of the decor as bad as I had thought it would.
Although it's not what I would have chosen to do it does look nice. Congrats to the bride and groom! May your future be as bright as the frosting on your cake! :)

Nifty to be Fifity!

This month my Mom turned the BIG 50! My sisters and our good friend Ginnie May put together an adorable surprise party complete with food, friends, fun and a surprise visit by my moms sisters. :) We went with a purple theme since it is my mom's favorite color and of course I made the dessert.
I made 50 cupcakes and decorated them to match the party decor. I am also happy to announce that I can finally use my amazing cameo machine so the cute cupcake wrappers were a must.
There were chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter filling and chocolate icing and white cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese filling with buttercream.
The party was a lot of fun and I'm glad that my mom got to spend time visiting with family and friends.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!

Football!

This cake is for a 9 year old boy who is a big fan of the Utes and the Patriots. Thank goodness they have similar colors which made it easy to combine the two teams. I was nervous about this order since I've never done one like this before (exploding) but it turned out nice.
